About us
Mission
Achieving an earth-positive world starting from crystalline material functions
Vision
Solving social issues and creating value through crystalline materials
Value
Realizing imagination through challenges
Jules Verne, a French science fiction writer, once said, "Anything one man can imagine, other men can make real." This is the motto of TESHIMA, one of the founders of the company. We put this motto into practice and founded the company with the desire to realize an earth-positive society based on crystalline materials.
Crystal materials synthesized using a unique growth method called the "flux method," a crystalline material growth method that has been researched at Shinshu University for many years, have unique functions that cannot be obtained by other methods. We believe that by starting with materials with excellent functions, we can not only contribute to the realization of a sustainable and recycling-oriented society, but also restore a deteriorated environment to a better state and contribute to the realization of an earth-positive society.
For example, water. Shinshu is known as a land of beautiful mountains and clear waters blessed with abundant water resources. Water is used in many ways, such as for living, to improve the quality of life, and for industrial activities. Our compact water purification system, which utilizes our unique materials, removes harmful ions such as heavy metals, arsenic, and fluoride from water, providing safe and secure water without pollution to people who need it anywhere on the planet. In order to connect today's prosperous lifestyles to a better future, it is necessary to use the Earth's limited resources, including water, with care. We aim to solve social issues in the energy and semiconductor fields and achieve innovation based on crystalline materials.
Core technology
The flux method is a method of growing crystals by heating and dissolving a solute (raw powder) in a flux material, and utilizing the increase in supersaturation caused by cooling and evaporation of the flux. With a container and a heating (energy) source, it is possible to grow crystalline materials with controlled crystal size and shape. The flux method allows the maximum use of the functions of the material.
-
・No expensive equipment or complicated operations are required.
・You can obtain crystal performance that meets your needs.
The Teshima, Hayashi, and Yamada Laboratory at Shinshu University has developed a variety of flux crystal growth recipes and has succeeded in growing high-performance, high-quality crystals with controlled crystal shape (crystal phase and crystal habit) and size. Our company has started its business with the technology of this laboratory as its core technology.
